SpamPal v1.73h Beta
A free mail classification antispam program that can help separate spam from the messages you really want to read. It runs between email program and mail server and controls your emails as you retrieve it. Any messages that SpamPal recognize as spam will be tagged with a special header ("X-SpamPal: SPAM"). Supports IMAP4 mailbox.
To recognize spam it uses DNSRBL and MAPS RBL (some ISPs already block all email from machines on some of these DNSBL lists, but many do not). But because not everyone who uses a machine on a DNSBL list will be a spammer, SpamPal has a whitelist option.
Some features:
- List of available DNSBL blocking lists is automatically updated.
- Whitelist the email addresses of your friends.
- You may add your own local blacklist.
- SpamPal may works with multiple POP3 and IMAP4 accounts from different servers.
- It supports SASL (Simple Authentication and Security Layer) and APOP (alternative method of log authentication).
- It protects an SMTP connections.
- Subject field tagging (it insert "SPAM" word in subject).
- It supports plugins with addidional functions, for eample Bayesian Filter or tool for automatic configuration in MS Outlook.
- Multilanguage verion with English, German, French, Italian, Danish, Chinese and Russian languages.
SSL and TSL is supporting only via external software, for example Stunnel.
