This program is a free links validator - checks WWW websites for broken links and generates raport on hard disk. Link control includes not only normal text links but images, frames, iframes, plugins, backgrounds, local image maps, CSS files, JavaScripts and Java applets too. It displays live updated list of URL adresses which you can sort by different criteria. After you may generate a report from this process. Also it generates map of WWW. Some functions:

• This software has a simple and userfriendly interface.
• It has option for recheck broken links. It's very useful for temporary server errors.
• Raports which Xenu's Link Sleuth creates are small and readable and program may send it via e-mail to define adress.
• You can configure a proxy server.
• Validator supports FTP, Gopher and secure encrypt SSL (HTTPS) protocols.
• Xenu reads and supports redirections.
• It reports type of errors (404, 403 etc).
• It can create sitemap.
• By default Xenu not supports cookies, but if you want, you can enable this function.
• It runs on every Windows system versions (includes old Windows 95, but it requires Wininet.dll library). Moreover it runs on Linux (via Wine) and on Mac OS X (via Crossover pack).
• You can configure the timeout in xenu.ini file (default is sixty seconds).
• Xenu checks WAP mobile sites (WML internet format).

It is good tool for webmasters to verify links on theirs sites.
