Eat The Whistle 3.6
An Open Source football simulation / soccer game written in C language that works on many OS: Windows, Linux, MacOsX, AmigaOS and MorphOS operation systems. It has only simple graphic, but is playable.
ETW is very configurable soccer game.
- Gengre: sport / soccer 2D simulator.
- Low hardware requirement. It can be played on old computers.
- World cup and leagues with real teams (with slightly modified names).
- Can be played with keyboard, gamepad or joysticks (connected via USB or Gameport).
- Very user-friendly control method with acceleration and deceleration.
- Thirty different fields, including muddy, frozen and wet.
- Fouls, corners, throw-in with an user-friendly control system.
- Two gamemodes: pseudo role playing and simulation - you can play a match as the whole team or only as a player.
- About every thing in the game is configurable via intuitive menus.
- You may choose a Game Tactics.
- You can heading and other special shots.
- Team members with personalized parameters.
- Arcade mode with power-ups, bonuses, et cetera... (something like Speedball II).
- Replays with save and later load options.
The original Eat The Whistle version was wrote by Hurricane Studios firm as commercial game projected for the Amiga computer. On an idea of authors it has been made portable with the help of the SDL programming library. Later, in 2002 year, it has been released under the GPL2.
